KB-000454:  We are having problems translating PowerPoint 2007 (2008, 2010) PPTX content. Is Impatica working on increasing the amount of new Microsoft PowerPoint features you support?

We are currently working on supporting more PowerPoint 2007 (and 2008, 2010) features.

In the meantime there are a number of workarounds that can be done to make new format PowerPoint (.pptx) files convert faithfully.

Some knowledgebase articles that outline these solutions are listed below. By making yourself aware of these solutions, in advance, you can author your new PowerPoint content according to the defined workarounds. Ideally, this will help to save time and avoid potential frustration.

This article outlines a method that explains how a PowerPoint author can use currently unsupported objects:

If the problem you are experiencing involves SmartArt objects (e.g. charts, tables, etc.) we currently have a PowerPoint Add-In under beta testing which will help with this issue.  Sample SmartArt objects:

Please email beta@impatica.com to request to be added to the SmartArt beta program.

If the issue is related to animated MathType equations then the suggestion here should help:

If the issue is with MathType equations that are not animated, then the SmartArt add-in is your best option.

If you are still experiencing difficulty, please contact Impatica Support for more assistance on this or any other issue by clicking on the "Post a comment" link at the bottom and right of this article, emailing support@impatica.com or by calling 1-800-548-3475 x:238.  Support is available Monday to Friday from 8:30 PM to 5 PM.
