KB-000418: I locked some slides in the OnCue edit window and distributed the remaining evenly but the end time of the last locked slide was changed. Why is that happening slides ?

Impatica OnCue locks the start times of locked slides and not the end times (slides are locked by selecting Edit -> Lock Selected Slide from within the OnCue Edit interface). Given that, when you lock the slides that you have already edited and then you select Edit -> Distribute Slides Evenly from within the OnCue Edit interface, the end point of the last locked slide will change. To work around this do the following:

  1. Lock all of the slides you wish to lock and also lock the slide that follows the last one in the group of locked slides.
    1. Lock slides by selecting all of slides you want to lock and select Edit -> Lock Selected Slide from within the OnCue Edit interface.

                                                              i.      For example, if you want to lock the placement of slides 1-7 then lock slides 1-8 even though you have not set the timing for slide 8 yet.

  1. Distribute the remaining, unselected slides evenly.
    1. Do this by selecting Edit -> Distribute Slides Evenly from within the OnCue Edit interface.

                                                              i.      In our example, this would cause slides 9 through to the end of the presentation to be distributed evenly on the timeline from the start of slide 8 to the end of the presentation timeline.

  1. Once the slides are distributed, unlock the last slide in the section of locked slides.
    1. Do this by selecting the slide you want to unlock and select Edit -> Unlock Selected Slide from within the OnCue Edit interface; or right-click the slide and select Unlock Selected Slide from the pop-up menu; or double-click the slide you wish to unlock.

                                                              i.      In our example, do one of the above unlocking options to Slide 8.

  1. With the distribution complete, place your play head (the green line) just after the end point of slide 7 and continue editing.
