KB-000412: Is there a way to change the template in an OnCue presentation without having to convert the project again?

Yes it is possible to quickly replace an older template with a new template in a previously converted OnCue presentation. To do so do the following:

1.       Ensure that the video file is the same frame size in both the old and new templates (if applicable);

2.       Ensure that the PowerPoint slides are the same size in both the old and new templates;

3.       If 1 and 2 are correct, then simply take the new template file and place it in the same folder where the old template exists;

4.       With both templates in the same folder, copy the name of  the old template to the Windows clipboard – e.g. OnCue-template.imp;

5.       With the name of the old template in the clipboard, rename the old template to something like OnCue-template-old.imp;

6.       Select to rename the new template (right-click the file and choose “Rename” from the pop-up menu) and paste (CTRL+V) the copied name of the old template – e.g. OnCue-template.imp;

7.       With that change, the next time the presentation is played back the new template will be used.
