KB-000373: Can an Impatica for PowerPoint or Impatica OnCue presentation be hosted over a streaming media server?

Streaming media servers work by sending small pieces of a video or audio file over time, so you can begin viewing or listening to them before the download has completed.  These servers must be designed for specific types of media files.  Impatica's software produces Java applets, which are essentially small programs, so these can not be sent this way.  Instead the presentations are shared using a normal web server.

Impaticized content does stream by itself however.  Essentially, it has its own streaming technology built in. This technology works through the same protocols that web pages use.  This means that you get the advantages of streaming without having to set up and configure an external streaming server.
